    Default My new wilds

Wow,been awhile!I have been wanting for so long to show my new stock!

First off, some of you may remember my colony of albimarginatas.Unfortunatly several years ago,we had a horrible snow storm and it wiped my power. They sadly did not make it.

Also,we had moved 1200 miles across country,to SC.

Fast forward to now,I have a related pair of betta macrostomas, spawning regularly. Also an unrelated pair of betta macrostoma, also spawning.Sadly they swallow every time but they are still very young!

Also I have a spawning pair of betta mahachai, and a lot of their offspring!

Soon to come, after the hollidays, will be a breeding pair of betta pi and in the spring a colony of betta pictas!

    Pictures come tomorrow!

nice job!!! I don't know much about the wild types, can you leave them in the same tank as parents when they grow up or are they the same as all the other bettas?

    Thanks!

With most wilds you can raise them in the tank with the adults, but I chose to remove the female early so she would leave the male alone, and then once he let them go I moved im and placed the fry in a livebearer trap,so I can make ure they all get enough to eat.Im slowly adding water to fill the tank up and they seem to be growing at an astounding rate.

I've never really done much reading up on the wild types, It's an area I haven't gotten interested in YET lol. I haven't been breeding for over a year now, I own my own business, so time is an issue. I have a ton of crowntails and a few halfmoons and one delta that the wife just couldn't pass up lol
