Plakat Bettas? Who owns them and who doesn't?

Hi, I have a question about plakats. Nothing about them, but they are extremely popular I have come to realize. I've noticed that so many people are interested in them and want to buy them. I myself really have never like their looks so much, honestly no offense to anyone else that does. I have always loved long, flowing fins on my bettas. I would love to hear from people that love plakats. Why do you like them, I would love to hear. Maybe I just can't see how beautiful they are? I do think that they are pretty bettas with unique fins, but I have never been drawn to them.

So if anyone agrees with me or owns some plakats themselves, I would love to hear it. Maybe you can help me love them more.

Oh another thing. The are popular, so why don't pet stores sell them? All the pet stores seem to sell the most common, popular bettas. Maybe they are too good in places like Petco, just wondering.

Plakat males are the ones closest to wild bettas in Thailand. Because of this, they usually fight the best. Those who own them (I own 2) will probably use them to fight other fish.

i used to like the long flowing fins of the bettas but when i accidently got a male plakat i started to like them more i then accidently got another and am hooked on them
i currently only have 1 and am looking to breed him

Plakats are pretty awesome, they seem more energetic and feistier then the long finned bettas, my guess would be because they dont have all of those long fish that they have to carry around. I currently have 3 male plakats with 2 more on the way.
