    Default changing bettas

can i jus take one betta out of my 10 gallon tank and put the other betta i have in a vase in the 10 gallon and put the other betta into the vase cuz honestly the betta in the tank doesnt seem to like it very much and the one in the vase looks like he would like more space, would that cause a bacterial or fungal issue at all if either fish dont look or seem sick of course the one in the tank does seem to shake his head like he is tweakin out and has started to not eat and my other is healthy as can be or is it normal behavior for a betta to be like that in such an open area with no other fish to bother him? he has been in the tank for about 2 weeks now and honestly im kinda getting fed up with him

i did it an my ct betta jus stays at the top of the tank and doesnt do anythng now jus like in the tank and the butterfly tailed betta is happy as can be he is swimming everywhere and jus cant stop he already is getting on the plants and chilling there for awhile but he really seems to like it, is it possible that my ct was so use to a small container that he doesnt want so much space cuz i did notice in the tank he stayed in just a quarter of the tank and hardly went to the other third and i mean hardly, so im going to take my ct back to a guy that knows bettas and breeds them where i live and see what he can do or if he jus has an internal parasite that is slowly killing him, but i did however put the bacteria supplement into the 10gallon after throwing the betta in the new tank, and also i see white threads on the side of the tank is that normal?

Rinse the inner part of the 10 gallon tank with hot water to get rid of any harmful bacteria and/or parasites.

But place some of the tank water itself in the vase, replacing all the water shouldn't be done unless really ill. This is because doing 100% water change is getting rid of all beneficial bacteria that is needed in the water to keep a balance for your betta and its home. Just try to do the switch with less stress to your bettas as possible
