    Do female bettas flare? The betta I purchased was labeled as a female betta, but I noticed that when it saw my other male betta it flared. She is also really beautiful in color.

    yea they do i had a female beta that flared, she wasnt that big but she did look nice

    Yeah females do flare. They have the same characteristics as males, beside they actually can coexist with other female bettas. males cant. Also you will notice that females also change color when they see males and want to spawn

    yup thatstrue bout the color change, i think thats how some people look for when they look for a female to mate with the male

    yes correct but someone looking at the fish for the first time, wont notice, there vetical strips is what gives it away.
