Adding Female Betta Fish?

I want to add a couple of female Betta fish to my betta tank. Is this a good idea? I've had the betta for about 2 months now.

I'm going to assume that you have a Mr. Betta and would like to introduce him to some ladies. Unless you are going to breed them, no do not add the females to the male tank. It is a rather touchy situation between the two even when they are mating. A rather involved process such as the intro of the two fish, how long they stay together, mating, etc... must have some research behind it. My advice is to leave Mr. Betta alone and show him a mirror for a few minutes to add some excitement to his life. Also, remember that breeding your Bettas will definitely shorten their lifespan.
