Not so rare or hard to get, they're just starting to get really popular. They have been around for some time and bred quite successfully.

Vincent, the only thing I will add to your genetics post is that a good breeder will watch for health problems being passed on and cull that particular line if it is not corrected. Another plus in buying from a breeder who has several generations of a line, as they can usually tell you all about their fish.

Check out the Giant Plakat . . . they're really neat and get pretty big! They are probably the hardest to breed, HMs are right behind them. But they are nice.
