ok if your eggs weren't embrassed by the male, there worthless, and should be removed, Even tho they will eat and is a great source of protien, eating a lot of her own eggs will eventually get them sick. If she drops them because her belly was big, this is because she is producing so much eggs in her and by her eating, there isn't enough room in the bettas body to keep the eggs, thus resulting in releasing unfertile eggs without spawning. This doesn't harm the betta but the down side of this is that all those eggs that could of been used in spawning is now worthless. 3 weeks in the amount of time needed for her to produce more eggs that are good enough to fertilize by the male, I would feed less in the feedings. or feed 1 time a day for a little while.
I would like you to keep me posted on this to see how she's doing. One of my females has had this problem, and i used her to breed, so this might be a start for you if considering breeding, BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE TIME FOR IT.
Keep me posted and i will post more on this topic later today for ya, |
