Bettas can breed as early as 3 months. I prefer them to be 4-5 months. It's a good idea to breed them around the same age as far as Im concerned because I just Breed my Crowntails and my male is 9 months, but my female is only 3 months and she was much smaller and it made it difficult for my male to wrap around her to squeeze her eggs out.

Hey KongX, im Lu, and ive been breeding for some time now, even tho bettas can usually breed before the 6 month mark, there early juvenile stages and curiousity prevents them and usually go more for the harrasments once a couple of attempts fail. I learned this from experience and thus realizing 6-9month old bettas are more prone to make than the earlier ages. If you have any questions on breeding feel free to ask or look my posts for further information! Oh and check out the breeding section of the for my thread on promoting breeding in your bettas!
