Default Is my betta OK for breeding?

My betta fish originally had severe fin rot ( I bought him that way). His fins were only little stubs on his body (not even a centimeter long). Now his fins are about an inch and a half long. I am going to get a female betta for him soon. are his fins big enough?

Please Answer I Want Betta Babies Really Bad.

( yes i have the tank setup. )

I would wait until he is "Fully" healed and conditioned. Breeding puts alot of stress on them and believe me his fins will take a beating during breeding!

The advice fivestar gave you on waiting to he fully heals is definitly correct. But Breeding is not a simple "just throw her in and watch them mate", I breed for a hobby and have been for awhile and theres' steps to making there enviroment breeding quality. Theres also a lot of patients and dedication in this. Expect fin damage to happen on both parts especially the female and prepare to do alot for your breeding pair. Also check out the link below on my signature about breeding, for the basics. if your intrested i will be happy to answer anyquestion and concerns regarding about breeding bettas!

I noticed with my female, when she's happiest (when water is right temp, and just cleaned with it warmed up prior to her release, so the next day she's )
She tends to grow more, fins grow faster, the male constantly ripped them, but not too much, and within a few days the were back to normal.
Even her eggs, she got more & more, now she's full. one's poking out & she's making her own bubble nest waiting for me to get a male
