    Well there's a few sites:

And our knowledge if you need more help
Make sure your fish are conditioned for it, as the female will usually get a belting.
And have the right environment/setup for the fish, as you may find you'll need a cup (i now use a foam cup) for the male to put his nest under.
You may need a lot of things so, you may need to spend a bit of cash.
Don't forget if your successful, since the female may even lay 400 eggs and that may turn out to be 400 betta's

Then you'ld have to separate those males,

    So be dedicated etc

Whats goin on guys! thanks fishmomma .
Theres a lot of preperation in wanting to breed your bettas, dedication and time. Oh and patients! which i don't have.... but for these lil guys i do.
I now have Fry's that are from a Crowntail Male and a Vieltail Female, and are over a month old now.
    This is was i did....
Made sure the male was showing signs of wanting to mate, or intrested in the fact.
They start to blow bubbles on the surface corner of your tank or under something thats a float constiantly. Breeders like my self use a half a styrofoam cup and place on top of the water. [Registered users only can see links. ] heres a link that shows the basics with pictures. Now once the male is making a bubble nest you know he's ready. as for the female, You need to make sure she is NOT the same size but a little bit smaller. Getting a female the same size will give your male competition in the showing of dominance, and might get attacked himself. What you need to do is make sure she's smaller.
Depending on your tank, Which i recommend STRONGLY a 10 gallon tank, because your going to need a lot of room for all those fry's once your bettas spawned! Your looking at about 50-150 eggs in one spawn! place the female in chimney or simply cut out the top of a 2 litter bottle and place it in the center of the tank, with the cut side facing up. Place the female in the bottle, Making sure it water level is at 6-8 inches. there natural habbitate is shallow water and will enduce in wanting to mate. Once you female is in, if she's intrested she will show signs of wanting to spawn, and intrest. She will change color(if your females are mult-colored like mine) and/or show there breeding "vertical stripes" [Registered users only can see links. ] here are some examples. Once you noticed these strips take a look under her belly between her ventral fins(under her stomach) and you'll notice a white spot, or what we call it her "pearl" this is where all those lovely eggs come from. if u see it protruding and she has her strips to match with it, then she's good to go. Now just because she shows signs of this, doesnt mean once you release her with him they'll mate, i wish it works that way, but it doesnt. If she doesn't like his nest, she wont be intrested. so make sure before you release her he has a decent size nest. i always wait till its about 4 inches round, even tho it can take awhile. next before releasing what you might want to do is introduce tannins into the water. Breeders and keeper in thailand us Indain Almond Leaves, which is a natural antibiotic, antioxidant, and promotes breeding in bettas, and wild bettas, also it serves for a area to build a nest under! you can find this on ebay for very cheep. i have a couple ordered to me for under $3 USD. If you cant get it for the momment, which i highly recommend the leaves, you can use a standard Tea bag. a Regular tea bag no flavors, i'm sure bettas arent flavored tea drinkers lol, but placing a tea bag browns the water and releases tannins like the almond leaves do. It persay doesn't have the antioxidants and biotics that the leaves have, but it will release tannins in your water. Making it brown, now you dont' want to water too brown, just brown enough to notice a hint of brown in there. Also you need to place natural hidding places in the tank for your female. While the "mating process" is in effect, your male will nip, bite and harrass her! until he showed his dominance of the tank and she follows him to the nest. He will show off. swim away from her to get her attention then the harrassments begin. **This is where people who want to breed end up giving it up. Your females fin WILL GET RIPPED, BITTEN, and TORN in this process. Its just the natural part of betta breeding. some cant stand the destroying of females fins and remove the female. if you don't want this for her, breeding is not a good idea! Being that the breeding process is something of patients, you will have to stay and watch the tank and behavior of your breeding pair to prevent fatal injury to your bettas, on both sides(male and female). in about 1-2 hours if you don't see her strips or if they disappear immediatly during the harrassment, remove her. if you notice she's being chased for a short while then the male swims back to the nest to make bubbles leave her in. STAY with them because of the fact that if she looses her strips or seems to hide in the hiding places you've given her and wont come out, she wont mate with him that day! She was fully intemadated(did i spell that right?!? lol) and needs to be put back in the bottle. now what i did with is i put her in that bottle for 3 days and taken her out for 1 in her betta jar, and kept them away from sight of each other. this will promote more of a matting mood being that when u put her back in the bottle on the 5 day its like a "she came back" and she will most likely show flaring and signs stated above again!
I have plenty of more info and will be happy to give it, also check out this video from a betta breeder like myself. Betta Breeding tank(B)-06 put that in the search window of youtube, and PXYG is the guy who posted it.
    please ask any unanswered questions!
