Default breeding bettas, what do these signals mean?

so i have 2 seperate breeding tanks each with a pair in it and each set up perfectly with cup and plants. water is at 82 degrees and my little corner filter is at a slow bubble. each has a problem.

    Tank 1-
female is very small and has vertical bars but she wont stop hiding! my male loves her so much and had the whole cup full of bubbles and kept going over to her (hiding under the corner filter) flaring at her then running (well swimming fast) over to the bubble nest under the cup and she wouldnt follow. this went on for several hours before i got really sleepy and went to sleep. i left the light on so they could still see. when i woke up, most of the bubble nest was gone and she was still hiding. he completely stopped working on the nest. so i took out the corner filter (she still has a plant to hide in) and now she looks kinda beat up, little chunks missing out of her tail. its not worth her being so stressed so i put the filter back in for her to hide under. now the nest is completely gone and he is just sitting under the empty cup occasionally going to flare at her, then goes and blows a few bubbles. what should i do? put her back in a vase in the middle of the tank so she cant hide from him but she is protected? or is it hopeless?

    Tank 2-
this female (i hope its for sure a female) is quite a bit larger. she is still in a vase in the middle of the tank. i did have them both in vases next to eachother and he made a bubble nest in it and loved her although i didnt watch them to closly. they have been in the big tank now for several hours and he isnt interested in making a nest at all, he wont leave her alone and she is flaring at him as much as he is flaring at her. she has very light vertical lines on her. barely noticable. i notice she flares out her face just like him, my other female doesnt do that. and he does this thing next to her and im not sure if he is trying to mate with her through the glass or kill her. he slows way down and gets really curvy and some times blows violent looking bubbles but onlly like 1 or 2 at a time while he is flaring at her. is this good or bad?

anyone have some opinions that are helpful? 10 points to the most helpful!
i could try baby mollies. i have one that is VERY preggers right now. i kinda like the babies though... i will think about it. i have some frozen blood worms, i will try those now. i have been offering freeze dried but they dont really love them.

Tank 1- Yes from my breeding experiances theres a sort of pattern u can follow to help the process go. Keep her in the vase for 3 days and let her out in for one, her rip fins are a normal sign of the male harrassing and showing dominance. this is normal, for some people who don't want this to happen, it will. Keep a close eye on them both but do not release her unless her strips are visible and the male set up a decent nest. Female bettas are also pickey when they see the nest, if it aint to her standards she wont mate. Also size, if she is very tiny, it isn't really a good idea, being that she is more prone to fatal bites and harrassments. the female should be not the same size but slightly smaller.
Tank 2- It sounds like more of a territorial thing for the both, the male is blowing bubbles in intrest, but the female seems to be flaring in trying to show dominance. This is another reason to make sure the female is smaller than the male, the male has to show dominance in the tank other wise the female will not mate. usually they will swim side by side pushing against each other then attack, this is a sign of betta fish fighting, remove the female. Try and get a smaller female for him. Also believe it or not some fish are very pickey and prefer other males/females. I have 10 adults and breed as much as possible. and i came like my other breeder friends, that females have prefrences, what they are.. i don't know but they do. if a female doesnt like a certain male, color or type she wont mate. Out of my 10 adults, they each have there set mate and wont try it with others, they actually fight the other ones until that specific betta is put with them.
*If you have any other quesitons feel free to ask.i'll send u my info and other information needed! i breed bettas as a hobby and currently on my third batch, of a Crown male, and a normal viel female. The first 2 where just normal tails with each other.
