| I currently have a crowntails males and normal viel females and cross bred them. supposedly they fins will look like some sort of comb(tail). Crowntails are actually my favorite fin type but try any type of female, maybe the cheapest first to see how he reacts to her, also consider the color pattern of the female i ususally just bred CT with CT. and so on. so the fry i have now are the mix ,it depends actually on the fish. Are those pix of them? its good looking fish.Last edited by BettaLu&Meg : 10-05-2008 at 04:26 PM. |

...I have recently aquired a male Betta(Robin)...labelled a Crowntail. I have been told(on another forum) that he is "special", and that I should consider breeding. It appears that he may be a crossbreed able to produce a new fin type. That really doesn't concern me, but I would like to breed him to get babies with nice finnage. Would you have a look, and give an opinion on what he is, and give suggestions on what I can breed him with? I did post in the crowntail forum, and I apologize if this is considered a "double post"
...I should mention that my choices of fin type for Bettas here is limited. Robin is actually a WalMart fish, and his finnage is a total surprise.
i ususally just bred CT with CT. and so on. so the fry i have now are the mix
