    my female betta is bigger then my male is it ok to breed them?

    Default my female betta is bigger then my male is it ok to breed them?

    I would like to breed my male and female betta but my female is two times the size of my male. Yes she is a female, eggs come out all the time, my male i believe like her because hes making a HUGE bubble nest. My female is gorgeous and i want to breed her with my male or others but she huge HELP,

    in general yes but watch them if she is bullying him switch to a bigger male.

    actually, its not a good idea for the female to be bigger. i breed and have friends that breed in diff countries and they also had the same experience and out come of this. the male should always, if not by just a little bit, be bigger than the female. If the female is larger it makes it difficult for the male to embrace and wrap himself around her for the matting process, making it extremely stress full for the both! and theres also the chance of your female actually harrassing him, when he has to show the dominance in the tank for the spawning process!
