my female betta fish still wont get fat for breeding?

 my female betta fish still wont get fat for breeding? i feed her blood worms small bugs and brine shrimp she can see the male but seems still not to get fat shes been able to seehim for at least a month he's already made a bubblenest in a 10 gallon tank so i dont know whats wrong with my female  |

| She may be to young.. I used to have 3 and one of them was always getting the big egg belly and she was the oldest.. They get to almost the same size as the male only without the big fins.. Maybe you should look for another female that is a little older.. Good luck.. |
