Every betta has its own personality. It does not really have anything to do with it being a crowntail or delta tail. BUT I have noticed that the crown tails I have had were very feisty and love to flare for any reason.

But I think they were just little feisty fish and the fact they were Crown tails did not have anything to do with it.

Just like snowflake stated, each betta has there own personality! it depends on there dominance also, some bettas are feistier than others. just watch your betta closely to see how your betta reacts to others, its mirror image and so on.

My crowntail likes to flare a lot too even at black objects outside the tank. My other plakats won't flare against it, but this crowntail does. That's why i had to cover it.

My crowntail's pretty aggressive and active; he doesn't flare at my fingers (yet), but went nuts for a mirror. I thought he was going to explode. I guess they're kind of like redheads

I have crown tail females and veiltail females, a comb tail male, veil tail male and i had a crown tail male (rip pickles)... they dont seem to be agressive, although i have a female that did some major damage to my other females, every one but her had shredded fins >.< she is obviously in a tank on her own now and doing extremly well. they all have their own personalities, some are more frisky than others, and some are more greedy than others.

2 gallons is the recomended volume, which is 7.57L

Optimum temp for bettas is 27 degrees celcius or 80 F

Need to ask me about converting something from litres to gallons or vice versa or temp from the farenheit to celcius, inches to centimetres. I'M HERE!
