om not sure whats wrong with it but you really dont need to feed them that much. every other day, or every few days should do it. i've had tons of bettas in my life and am very experienced with them. just watch out for that bulge and try not to feed it every day, and if you do only feed it once in small amounts.

i really hope that i helped you out!!

ps---if the bulge doesnt go away, you should talk to a vet

    good luck!!! ;p

you over fed him...just dont feed him for a day or 2....i know you think thats cruel to do...but bettas can acually survive without food for a week! so just dont feed it for 2 days then you can feed him 2 pellets in the morning and 2 pellets at night...and maybe 1 during the day but thats it! also maybe once a month get him a treat...frozen brine shrimp, they love that! but odnt worry to much if its only a slight bulge but if you really over feed him he can die so be careful! but dont worry too much!

It sounds like it was a bit overfed. First of all, don't panic! The first thing to do is don't feed him for at least a day or two. This will give him a chance to digest his very large feast. Healthy Bettas tend to be a piggish in their eating habits and will overeat if allowed to do so. Second, after having said don't feed him, let me add an exception. Do feed your Mr. Betta a COOKED, COOLED, and PEALED pea or two right now. This will act as a laxative and will allow him to poo easier. He may refuse the pea at first but sooner or later, he'll eat it.

Now for some feeding info . . . . The best food for Bettas is Hikari Betta Bio-Gold. It is used by alot of breeders, too. Soak the pellets in a small amount of water for about 3 minutes then drop several into his tank. He should be done eating after about 3-5 minutes. The normal pellet intake is about 5-8 pellets a day for a good, healthy, piggish Betta. If you want to feed him a treat, freeze dried blood worms are a good choice. Feed him 2-3 worms once or twice a week. Do remember that these should be used as treats and not regualar food! Bettas are able to go up to a month without food and do fine, so as I said before, don't panic.
