Default Crowntail betta not eating pellets or flakes, just blood worms?

I've had my red crowntail betta for a week now. He refuses to eat any pellet or flake food. I went to the pet store and bought all the types of betta food they had... pellet, flakes and blood worms. He only eats the blood worms.. I know he needs the basic food, and cannot live off of just blood worms, but that is ALL he eats. Don't get me wrong, his color is BEAUTIFUL due to this and he is very active(more active than any betta I have seen), but is there anything he can eat besides the flakes and pellets or if I keep trying, will he eventually eat them? Thanks

Yeah thats true what "ilikefish" said. I breed and boy where all my CT stubborn, and they give you that kinda look like "i'm not eating that!". But it is good that you did buy a variety of food because that the way to feed your betta without him getting complications of one based food. Its good to feed him diff things, in the morning and night. He will eventually eat it, just keep the bloodworms away for awhile because he will have complications such as, swim bladder disorder, and constipation. Its very uncomfortable for them with these, and they look helpless when they have it.
Also soak the pellets for 5 minutes before you give it to him, I know it doesnt say that in the directions but hard pellets will make it harder to eat. its easier and less of a hassle for them when its soft and chewable!

They are picky the first few days, my crowntaill didnt eat his flakes until the day after i bought him. I would keep feeding him blood worms, maybe every once in a while you can try to feed him something else.

My marble coloured veiltail only ate blood worms, its been about 2 1/2 weeks now and he is finally eating the pellets, although very little, if you slowly introduce he/she will get used to it edventually, just give it time.
