    Default Can my normal male Betta turn into a crowntail?
    I was recently out of town, and when I got back I checked on all 3 of my Betta's(duh) and I noticed my "normal" or "roundtail" male betta looked like a whole new Betta. He was almost black, and in the fins they looked like a crowntail's. I don't know if the people feeding my fish switched my Betta while i was gone because he died. But is it possible for a Betta to turn into a different kind of Betta?


    *Oh and his fins are not torn, they are perfectly matched to a crowntails.
    Its not a girl!
    Please help!!!!

    well i have a betta to and well it kind of sounds like a girl betta cause my girl is a real dark color and has the same kind of fins you just described. i would ask them if anything happened and do some research

    they almost surely switched the fish a betta wont turn tinto a diffrent kind

    Bettas don't switch tails. Either his fins are torn or they switched him.
