Betta fish should not be fed alot. Best to feed 4 pellets morning and night. Bettas also do not burn alot of fat(they don't swim as much as other fish), this is why they are more prone to becoming bloated.

i'd feed a betta a few pellets once a day, every other day. This helps let them digest their food and not to make them obese. Bettas are often prone to obesity from overfeeding.

    good luck

i feed all my bettas 3 pellets a day except one day a week as they can get constipated, as a treat once a week they get live blackworm, brine shrimp or frozen bloodworm, that way they are getting a balanced diet

Honestly, It depends on the fish with how many you are feeding them i think.

I have 8 betta's, and depending on the betta I feed them anywhere from 1-4 pellets, the bigger the fish the more i give them. It's worked well for me and I haven't had any major health issues with bloating yet. I keep an eye on them, if you notice them getting a slight buldge, i withhold feeding for a day or so and it typically rights itself.

I feed mine every 12 hours (twice a day) every day, and skip 1-2 days a week because my betta is really sensitive to constipation.

My crwontail is a pig, he gets 5 pellets in the morning, with a helping of bloodworms, and the same goes for the night, 5 pellets and a helping of bloodworms. He isn't fat either, but he is a big guy, and loves me to peices, he doesn't give my husband the same hello as me.
