Since you said that he has eaten everything you have put in with him, my advice is to leave Mr. Betta to himself. Bettas vary in their aggression and it sounds like he tends to be more aggressive about his space. How big is your tank? Do you have a filtration system or any plants? Sometimes if the Bettas don't have anyplace to hide then they are a bit more aggressive. If you have a small tank, I wouldn't add any other fish to it since it will only cause high levels of ammonia and nitrites from the fish poo and cause stress to the fish eventually causing sick fish problems. A good site that has an excellent spreadsheet for fish compatibility is theaquarians.net which may help. It is recommended that Bettas have at least 2 gallons to live in. To add a little excitement to Mr. Betta's life hold a mirror up to him for only a minute or two. This will keep them from getting too bored. Don't do this too often. . . you don't want to cause him stress. About once a week would be fine.

Just to make sure that you know (which I'm sure you probably do) other male Bettas do not go together! I'm sure I'm only stating the obvious.
Hope this helps answer your question!
