Lightbulb Aquarium Water Changes with Siphon

I will soon post a tutorial with photos on how to siphon out your aquarium water to change the bettas fishes water.

It is a good idea to change 20% of your betta fishes water at least weekly. The easiest for you and your betta is using a simple siphon hose for aquariums.
You can also make one yourself. The biggest problem is starting the damn thing for most people, however the easiest way is simply to fill it with water (this includes all tubing by holding the other end with your thumb) and then simply putting it in your tank, and releasing your thumb.

Dont worry, the first time we did it we spent 20 minutes trying everything out until we became siphon experts...

lol i tried to fill my tank by using a siphon as a hose from the tap to the tank... lets just say the kitchen resembled an aquarium by the end of it.

I do a full water change weekly but I have my fish in small tanks. I use aged chlorine treated water.
I only have one fish per tank as well I don’t have a community tank.

when we do a water change it's usually (pardon the pun) the suck method the rapidly moving up and down method works 2.

We could never get the moving up and down method to work. We simply fill the hose with water and then throw it into the tank. I dont want to taste Betta excretions

suck method here too. at least for the community tank. lmao my males are all in 2.5 gallon tanks so I usually dip out with a cup, & do a complete change every 1 or 2 weeks ,depending how dirty they are.

I suck up the water and as soon as I feel a pressure change I drop the hose into the empty tank- and ta-da! It starts siphoning, lulz. XD
